Tashkent Metropolitan University and University of Staffordshire Sign Progression Agreement for UK Bachelor's Degrees
Tashkent Metropolitan University (TMU) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the University of Staffordshire in the United Kingdom.
Under the agreement, students who complete TMU's Foundation programme can apply directly to Level 4, the first year of undergraduate study, on two University of Staffordshire degrees: BSc (Hons) Business Management and BSc (Hons) Computer Science.
The agreement is dated September 25, 2026. It was signed by Bekhzod Djalilov, President of Tashkent Metropolitan University, and Simon Jenkins, Head of Recruitment and Access at the University of Staffordshire.
How the pathway works
To be eligible, students must complete the TMU Foundation programme with a minimum grade of Pass. The University of Staffordshire's academic team has reviewed the programme and accepted it as suitable preparation for first-year entry on both degrees.
Eligible students apply individually through the University of Staffordshire course pages at www.staffs.ac.uk. Applicants may be invited to an interview where applicable and must meet the university's standard English language requirements before enrolment. The final admission decision rests with the University of Staffordshire.
Graduates who complete their studies receive a University of Staffordshire degree. Students cover their own tuition, accommodation and living costs in the UK. Tuition fees are reviewed annually.
"Our Foundation programme was designed to prepare students for degree-level study in English, and this agreement shows that a UK university has assessed it on that basis," said Bekhzod Djalilov, President of Tashkent Metropolitan University. "For students in Uzbekistan, it means they can begin their education in Tashkent and then choose to continue toward a British degree in business or computer science. Our task now is to make sure every student who chooses this route arrives in Staffordshire ready to succeed."
