Tashkent Metropolitan University Receives ACCA Exemption Accreditation
Tashkent Metropolitan University (TMU) is proud to announce that its Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and Bachelor of Arts in International Business programmes have been fully assessed and accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) for exemption purposes.
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a global professional accountancy organisation providing professional qualifications and supporting careers in accounting, finance and business.
The accreditation recognises the knowledge and skills developed through the assessed TMU programmes and provides eligible graduates with exemptions from specified ACCA examinations when pursuing the ACCA Qualification.
What the ACCA Accreditation Means for Students
The ACCA approval is valid from 1 January 2029, with the accreditation period running until 31 December 2033. The accreditation may be extended beyond 2033, subject to ACCA’s review and re-accreditation requirements.
The exemptions apply to eligible students from the relevant cohorts who graduate from 1 January 2029 onwards, subject to ACCA’s applicable rules and requirements. The accreditation does not apply retrospectively to current or earlier graduating cohorts.
Students admitted from the 2027–2028 academic year who graduate from 1 January 2029 onwards will be eligible to claim the applicable ACCA exemptions, subject to the relevant ACCA requirements.
Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance
ACCA has fully assessed TMU’s Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance programme for accreditation.
The assessment covers Business and Technology, for which the exemption is awarded on completion of the programme.
It also covers Management Accounting, supported by the TMU module Management Accounting (MAC402).
The programme has been assessed for Financial Accounting, with the relevant TMU curriculum including Financial Accounting II and IFRS Foundations (FAR501).
For Corporate and Business Law, the relevant TMU curriculum includes Business Law (England) (LAW403).
The Performance Management assessment is supported by Performance with Data Analysis (PDA605), Management Accounting (MAC402), and Management Accounting II and Performance Foundations (MAP502).
For Financial Reporting, the relevant TMU modules include Financial Reporting (FRP602) and Financial Accounting II and IFRS Foundations (FAR501).
The programme has also been assessed for Audit and Assurance, supported by Audit and Internal Control Foundations (AUD505) and Audit, Risk and Control (ARC603).
Bachelor of Arts in International Business
TMU’s Bachelor of Arts in International Business programme has also been fully assessed by ACCA for exemption accreditation.
For Business and Technology, the exemption is available on completion of the programme.
The Management Accounting assessment is supported by the TMU module Management Accounting (MAC402).
For Financial Accounting, the relevant TMU module is Financial Accounting (ACF401).
The programme has been assessed for Corporate and Business Law, supported by Business Law (England) (LAW403).
The Performance Management assessment is supported by Performance with Data Analysis (PDA605), Management Accounting (MAC402), and Management Accounting II and Performance Foundations (MAP502).
For Financial Reporting, the relevant TMU modules are Financial Reporting (FRP602) and Financial Accounting II and IFRS Foundations (FAR501).
The programme has also been assessed for Audit and Assurance, supported by Audit and Internal Control Foundations (AUD505) and Audit, Risk and Control (ARC603).
A Stronger Pathway Towards the ACCA Qualification
The accreditation provides eligible TMU graduates with recognition of relevant prior learning when they pursue the ACCA Qualification.
By completing an ACCA-accredited university programme, eligible graduates can claim the exemptions applicable to their programme and graduation year, helping them avoid repeating areas of study they have already successfully completed at university.
Exemptions do not constitute completion of the ACCA Qualification. Students must fulfil all remaining ACCA requirements applicable to their qualification pathway.
Students should confirm their individual exemption entitlement through the official ACCA Exemptions Calculator when registering with ACCA.

Important Information for Students
The ACCA approval is valid from 1 January 2029.

The accreditation applies to the programmes as assessed by ACCA. If changes are made to programme modules or their content during the accreditation period, this may affect the exemptions available. TMU will work with ACCA on any relevant programme changes to ensure continued compliance with the accreditation requirements.
